July 2011.  When I met the love of my life, Randy who just so happens to be a U.S. Army soldier! :) At the time, however, I didn’t really see him in that way.  I had a boyfriend and was very focused on him and making our relationship, of over a year, work.  I went to the mall with my best friend and we met up with her friend and Randy.  That was the day we met.  I have to admit that at that moment I thought he was so charming and very cute.  We all had a really good time and drove around town doing random stuff and decided that we would all go back to my best friends house to watch a movie.  My friend sat on the couch with Randy’s friend while Randy and i were squished in a one person seat….it was a little awkward to say the least.  Randy and I went outside to talk and he tried to kiss me, but I instantly said no.  I didn’t wanna ruin my relationship and I didn’t see Randy in that way….yet.  Somehow, Randy got my number and I still don’t know how lol and he would text me nonstop and flirted with me like crazy!  Since he wouldn’t stop flirting I ignored him hoping he would get the picture.  And he did…for a few days haha.  A few days later he texted me again saying sorry for being a little forward.  We started texting again and it was really nice talking to him.  Meanwhile, my boyfriend and I at the time were having a lot of problems.  The relationship wasn’t working out because we just didn’t have the same feelings anymore.  It was slowly fading and I think we both knew it.  One night, Randy invited me and a couple of my friends to go bowling.  What he didn’t realize was that “bowling” was really a surprise going away party for him!  In a couple days he would be leaving for boot camp at Ft. Leonard Wood Missouri.  He was surprised that I was there and so was I.  All night he tried to get with me again.  My head told me that it was a bad idea, but my heart told me to go for it.  I mean he was leaving anyways.  So at the end of the night we had our first kiss.  It was the most amazing kiss of my life.  I left the party that night and said my goodbyes to him thinking that it was the last time I would see him before he left.  I went back to my friends house for a sleepover and broke up with my boyfriend.  Randy helped me realize that I deserve better and that I really wasn’t happy in my relationship.  After that kiss all I could think about was Randy!  I texted him and told him to come to my friends house and that is what he did :) We kissed a lot more that night and then I saw him the next day at a firework show.  He was scheduled to leave on July 11, 2011.  That day, he came to my summer school to say our last goodbye.  He left a couple days later for boot camp.  All the rest of summer when he was in Missouri, he wrote me everyday.  He called me every Sunday when he got his phone back.  He was really making me fall for him :) When Randy graduated from boot camp he got his phone back and also a computer to skype with!  He went to Ft. Sam in Texas.  While he was in Texas our relationship grew.  We became each other’s best friends.  And eventually we grew to fall passionately and head over heels in love with each other :) Randy is now in Ft. Bragg North Carolina as a combat medic.  I am so in love with this man and I couldn’t be happier.  We honestly have a relationship that is one of a kind.  He is the only one I want to be with.  He is first and foremost my best friend, but also the love of my life!  I know we can get through this because we both want it to work out and will do anything to see it through.  Randy, te amo con todo mi corazon por siempre. <3
